About
After a long career as a physician, I have taken up photogÂraphy seriously for the past decade. I have studied with sevÂeral local photographers through the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee School of Continuing Education. I’ve also taken photography workÂshops in Chicago and at other sites in the US, including in the Eastern Sierras with John Sexton, Ansel Adams’ last assistant. My artistic educaÂtion also has been informed by viewing of painting and sculpture in most of the great museums of the world. I have exhibited in juried shows of the Coalition of Photographic Artists in Milwaukee, the Anderson Arts Center in Kenosha, The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center in Brookfield, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre in Florida, the Museum of Wisconsin Art gallery in Milwaukee and the Racine Art Museum’s Wustum Museum.
I do portraiture, street photography, wildlife and landscape work, often in the many places where I have traveled. I’m looking for patterns and shapes that delight and surprise. It’s always about the light, whether one can find good light and what one can do with it. I have a special love of black and white photography, almost always evaluating scenes for this possibility.

Taken in chapel of a convent in Albuquerque, NM with 120 film, negative digitized & processed in Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop. I don't seem to be able to upload more than one image in each post.
