Almost every day, I'll go on a photo walk-a-bout, looking for an image that catches my eye. Somedays, I see nothing worth recording; on others 'It's an aha moment.' I've made coconut palm pictures for a number of years, some better than others. This image was found just before noon at The Westin Lagunamar Resort, in Cancun, Mx. I liked the geometry of the horizontal lines in the building and the contrast with the strong verticals of the palm and shadows. Tech - Canon 5d Mk 3, 24-105 L@210 w Tamron 1.6 extender, ISO 100, f8, 1/200. Inspiration - Day books, Edward Weston.
