Ken, this is quite a wonderful capture of a typical foggy day by the Golden Gate. And I agree, the people add so much life to the photo as well. I used to live in Mill Valley.
Thanks very much Enid. This was a tripod shot with my 1N using a telephoto lens. I was attracted to the sequencing of the waves lapping the beach as my inspiration. And, yes the people make the image special. (Saturation can be added to intensify the peoples clothing.)
Thanks very much Robert. The image was made on Jan 1, 2002. I was living in SF Bay Area and spent many weekends on walk abouts in the Golden Gate National Recreational Area, in the Marin Headlands, Pt Bonita Lighthouse and Ft Point. During this time, I had five of my images posted on KGO TV 7, S.F. as the 'weather picture' of the day and two images published of the GG Bridge on State of California web site. I've attached a second Baker Beach image that I made on Jan 15th, 2002. And in 2005 I moved to Colorado. The B/W conversion and addition of grain is a nod to your style.

For me, the people make it go from very good to great!
